Search for information about business entities involved in a profit or non-profit activity having their principal place of business located on the territory of the Republic of Slovenia.

The Slovenian Business Register (PRS) is a central database containing information about all business entities involved in a profit or non-profit activity having their principal place of business located on the territory of the Republic of Slovenia, as well as information on their subsidiaries and other divisions of business entities performing business activities in the territory of the Republic of Slovenia.

For most business entities PRS serves as the primary register, since it is there that sole proprietors, companies, natural persons - landlords letting out rooms register their business. For all other business entities (societies, labor unions, political parties and other natural persons engaging in registered activities) PRS serves as a secondary register since these business entities are first registered in the respective primary register or official records with another registration authority, and then AJPES registers them in the PRS.

Registration courts decide on the entry of data which are subject to registration in the Court Register by law. AJPES passes decisions about registration of data on sole proprietors (from 1.7.2005) and natural persons - landlords letting out rooms (from 21.1.2008) in the PRS.

AJPES ensures publicity of data from the PRS by:

  • providing access to PRS data via the ePRS application,
  • providing PRS data extracts; and
  • providing PRS data for reuse.

1. Providing free access to PRS data via AJPES web portal (ePRS),

ePRS is an application with free access to data on individual PRS entities registered with the Slovenian Business Register via the AJPES website. Free registration on the AJPES web portal is required to access the application.

The ePRS application allows the user access to data on individual PRS entities performing economic activities within the territory of the Republic of Slovenia.

Different registration data are available for each PRS entity (registration number, company name, registered address, tax number, details of legal representatives and founders etc.), which constitute official data for sole proprietors and business entities entered in the Court Register, assuming that the various institutions providing data to AJPES (Bank of Slovenia, Ministry of Finance – Public Payments Administration of the Republic of Slovenia, Tax Administration of the Republic of Slovenia) are responsible for ensuring the accuracy of the data concerned. For other PRS entities the data are identical to the data contained in primary registers, if AJPES received data updates from the primary registers or from the PRS entity itself. AJPES updates the data on a daily basis. Users of the ePRS application must use the acquired data exclusively in compliance with the conditions and restrictions stipulated in the Terms and Conditions of Use. Data about individual PRS entities can be viewed by entering search criteria in one or more fields, or by selecting the search criterion from the drop-down menu.
The search criteria can include: data, part of data (word), beginning of the word.

2. PRS data extracts

2.1.  Using the ePRS application, in the form of an electronically signed extract, PDF format, free of charge
Electronic extract of PRS data (e-extract) is identical to the paper-format extract in terms of form and content. This prevents the content from being modified after signing and ensures authenticity of the e-extract. Users can retrieve e-extracts via the ePRS web application, which supports retrieval of e-extracts for sole proprietors and business entities registered with the Court Register, and later these e-extracts will also become available for other types of business entities.

Procedure for retrieval of e-extracts

  • The user logs in with their username and password. The user can check the “Remember me” option on the login screen to make the browser log them in automatically each time they visit the AJPES portal. New users are assigned a username and password after free registration.
  • User selects the ePRS application.
  • The user enters the search criteria in the search form and confirms the entry by pressing [Enter] or clicking the [Search] button.
  • The search results can include up to 100 results. By clicking one of the results. By clicking one of the results, detailed data about the selected business entity are displayed to the user.
  • The user initiates the retrieval of the e-extract for the selected business entity by clicking the (PDF ) link in the bottom-right corner of the data display screen.
  • The browser then allows you to [Open] or [Save] the file containing the e-extract. In the first case the e-extract is open in Adobe Reader, while in the second the user can save the e-extract file to their computer.

Using e-extracts

E-extracts in PDF format replace conventional paper extracts. For this reason they can be used for public tendering procedures, bank transactions, communication with government authorities etc. Like all electronic documents e-extracts must be submitted and archived in electronic format. Users can send e-extracts to recipients by email or data storage media. A hardcopy e-extract holds the same validity as a document signed by facsimile.

Printing e-extracts

E-extracts in PDF can also be printed. Printing can be initiated by opening the e-extract in Acrobat Reader and selecting the relevant button or selection item from the Print menu. Naturally, the paper version of the e-extract is no longer electronically signed. Instead of the signature, a part of the qualified digital certificate information is displayed in the top-right corner along with the date and time that the original document was signed.

2.2. Obtaining certified notices at AJPES branch offices, free of charge

2.3. Obtaining an extract from the Court Register using the ePRS application in the form of an electronically signed extract in PDF format, free of charge

2.4. Extract of public documents using the ePRS application, in electronic format, free of charge
